The Fagettes

The Brighton Music Hall is well on its way to earning its street cred within the Boston music scene.  Reporters and local rock mainstays made an appearance at the soft launch on January 14.  The night featured three unadvertised local acts: The Fagettes, Earthquake Party! and Magic Magic. They are still putting the final touches on the new rehabbed venue, but most importantly, booker Ryan Vangel has already put forth a great starting lineup with acts like Ted Leo (January 21) and Wild Flag (March 7).

It's the closest thing to a hipster dive bar that could last this side of the Charles. At least it's not Cambridge. Ugh. I bet you loved Harper's Ferry, huh?

Anyone that thinks Harper's Ferry was a hipster club probably owns a couple seasons of Two And A Half Men on DVD and plays them at his underattended cocktail parties.

I would have thought that a "First look" would actually have photos of the venue, not just a band that happened to play there...

Looks like it's attracting the same hipster douchebags that Harper's Ferry did ...
